Steve’s guiding career spans 25 years and dozens of rivers and lakes throughout the West including Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado.
Steve makes his home just 30 minutes away from The South Fork Lodge in beautiful Victor, Idaho. He sees himself as a Guide, Philosopher, and Master Knot Untangling Technician.
When not fishing or guiding Steve enjoys backcountry skiing, drinking cheap red wine, and lying (don’t all fishing guides!).
When fishing with Steve don’t be surprised if he has you tie on a streamer. His favorite tactic is “Stripping Big Junk.” The one piece of equipment he’s never without are his Clic reading glasses. After all, you‘ve got to be able to see to tie on a fly!
