Location

Your visit to South Fork Lodge puts you right on the banks of the South Fork of the Snake River, where trophy trout rise to dry flies every single day. The lodge is also within easy reach of Jackson Hole, Wyo., and both Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks.

Non-anglers staying at the lodge might like to take a scenic drive to one or both of these legendary national parks or perhaps there’s a shopping outing on the itinerary in beautiful Jackson. Farther flung–and lesser-known destinations include Craters of the Moon National Monument and Island Park, Idaho, home of the world-famous Henry’s Fork of the Snake River.

The drive to the Lodge from Idaho Falls is approximately 45 minutes.  From Jackson, it is about 60 minutes. 

The closest major airport to South Fork Lodge is the Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA), located 38 miles away in Idaho Falls. The other nearby option is the Jackson, Wyoming (JAC) airport.  South Fork Lodge is 90 minutes from the Jackson, Wyoming airport.

South Fork Lodge is close to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, which can be reached via beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyo., just over Teton Pass. Jackson Hole is about an hour’s drive from the lodge, and Grand Teton National Park is just a bit farther. The south entrance to Yellowstone National Park is about two hours from the lodge, making a day trip to some of America’s most stunning natural wonders totally doable. 

Arrival & Departure Details

A shuttle service is available, but many visitors prefer to rent a car allowing for a scenic trip to Jackson or even Yellowstone National Park.  Rental cars are available at both airports.

Check-in time is after 4 PM on your arrival date, and check-out time is 10 AM on your departure date.
